| The best investment in my daughter so far has been the Baby Signs series from Chic Baby! We started G in the classes after attending a FREE demo when she was 8 months old. Since then, we have attended both 6 week courses over a 3 month period. The classes are mostly a fun, playtime for G with the other babies. She loved the singing and toys.
My husband and I attended together and there were commonly other daddies there too. It made him feel more comfortable and I was happy to see him so involved in her development.
In the beginning, we did most of the signs with G only doing a few, but she would often respond to what we’d say/sign. By 13 months, she understands over 50 signs and consistently does 20-30 signs on her own. At home, she constantly wants to do the class Sign books with me or daddy. And now, she does most of the reading/signing while we turn pages.
Her signing is very helpful when she is frustrated or unhappy. She will sign her need or issue to us (hungry, thirsty, tired, etc) which allows us to respond appropriately. It has not slowed down her language development at all (she says 10 words consistently). When we are out in public, many people are surprised to see how well she communicates with us.
Most recently, we attended the Potty Training class and bought the kit to start her potty training at 1 year. I’m proud to report that today she signed potty, went to the potty chair and peed! Another great example of how Baby Signs can help you and your baby!

I will definitely be taking my next baby to the classes when he is 6 months old!

| Baby signing class is awesome! It’s totally paid off after these past few months of signing with G. It is amazing to see her learn the signs and communicate with us… And I think she’s following in her friend’s footsteps of being a talker too :) I can’t wait to sign G up for the potty signing class!

| The classes are lots of fun and it is great to be able to communicate with Desmond without him crying every time he wants something. Lots of his signs look the same so we have a little bit of a guessing game with him if he wants milk or cereal, but I am so happy we taught him. He is starting to speak as well so signing hasn't slowed down his speech either. Actually it is supposed to help.
